They say impromptu and totally spontaneous adventures are always the best ones. With good friends and an itinerary
somewhat planned, we were all ready for our great adventure.
Long drives were coupled with anticipation and uncertainty as we set off out of the city and straight to Blue Mountains National Park.
And for the next few days, we caught the most beautiful and vibrant sunrise and sunsets while venturing out to explore places within the park.
For the most simple and ordinary things and experiences always bring the most joy.
We were so glad to be able to witness the sunrise just as first light was just spilling over the mountain peaks across the valley opposite where we were standing.
In that moment, all 6 of us were just standing there and taking in the amazing panoramic unblocked views of the majestic sunrise.
The subtle changes in the sky and valley were beautiful as the sun rose
over the mountains and gradually light up the mist shrouded valley.
We also started to feel the warmth of the sun on the cold winter morning.
With the first few days spent in the national park, we were more than excited as we set off to the coast for a
change of views from the past few days.
We met many friendly and chatty dog owners and spent the evening by the waters as time flew past.
Fine, white sand, crystal, clear blue water, Seven Mile Beach lies on the edge of a long slender sand dune and the absence of rocky outcrops or headlands results in a vista of endless sand that stretches as far as the eye can see.
