Large cities have long enjoyed wonderful reputations. There’s something oddly soothing about the constant flow of people and machinery throughout the day. More recently, people have become increasingly enamoured by the shimmering glass facades and lightscapes of bustling commercial centres. However, a trip outside of the city centre is often equally or even more rewarding as these cities retain traces of the ruggedness they bore before their rise.
