Some weeks ago I thought about to use lenses for my smartphone to extend the range of my photography. Then, by chance, I came across OOWA. It sounded very interesting and I didn’t have to think long about it and gave it a shot.
In the past I used my camera as well as my smartphone, but I more and more concentrated myself on the iphone photography. Over the years I developed a passion for it. I also love to work with filters in black and white, as, in my opinion, the colour filters often look a little bit kitschy.
Recently I could harvest the fruits of my work and the result was an international award for a flower photo in black and white – please have a look on my website snowfieldphotography.de There’s a little range of my smartphone pictures.
Just also on travelling to New Zealand or Canada, it is more practical for me to use the iphone than the complete heavy equipment. All of you know, that the sharpness of the pictures has grown over the years due to technical improvement and therefore the smartphone is a good alternative.
My passion is art, design and architecture so I made some pictures with the wide-angle lens in the media harbour area in Duesseldorf/Germany.
The old Rhein Harbour has a very individual architecture from international architects like Frank O’ Gehry, whose building (complete and details) you can see on my photos. Here you really get good possibilities for extraordinary pictures. It was a pleasure to make photos with these small lenses and they definitely have an excellent quality and are easy to handle. Attention guaranteed!
Another point is that I only can take touching photos if it is connected with emotions.
This happened also in Switzerland at Lake Geneva when the sun came out in the evening after a long period of rain.
My passion for photography and art was influenced by my parents since I was a child and I can’t imagine life without it.
